The HECM loan must be set up in HUD's Home Equity Reverse Mortgage Information Technology (HERMIT) system at www.hermitsp.com.

Log on to HERMIT and follow the process for setting up a loan manually or through a Business to Government (B2G) loan setup import file.

Note: Access to HERMIT must be requested. Once approved, a user ID and password are issued.
