The Lender Insurance (LI) program allows qualifying lenders to endorse their own loans for insurance on the FHA Connection with the exception of Home Equity Conversion Mortgages (HECMs). Lenders participating in this program submit paper or electronic case binders (closing packages) only when requested by the HUD Homeownership Center (HOC).
