Holds Tracking Statuses When Getting a Case Number

When getting a case number, held cases have any one of the following statuses:

Processing - Case Number Not Assigned: The HOC is still reviewing the case.

Completed - Case Number Not Assigned: The case was reviewed and rejected by the HOC.

Pending Borrower Validation - Case Number Assigned: The HOC reviewed and approved the case, an FHA case number was assigned, and now all borrowers are pending validation against federal government records.

Borrower Validation Completed - Case Number Assigned: Processing in Holds Tracking is complete. The HOC reviewed and approved the case, an FHA case number was assigned, and all borrowers passed validation against federal government records.

Failed Borrower Validation - Case Number Assigned: One or more borrowers on the new case failed borrower validation (i.e., name, Social Security Number, and birth date combination was not valid for one or more borrowers). An FHA case number was assigned and case processing can continue; however, a case warning is issued and the case cannot be endorsed for FHA insurance without HOC acknowledgment of the warning.
