Prior to sending case binders electronically, an LI lender must be approved for electronic submissions. This authorization is maintained in the lender's LI History record as LI Status, which can be viewed using LI History on the Lender Functions menu. The following authorizations enable the approved LI lender to submit case binders electronically. | |||

Approval eBinder (MISMO): Approved to send electronic case binders (closing packages) when requested by a HOC (after being approved for the LI Forward program). Electronic copies of closing package documentation are sent to HUD's Secure FTP server in extensible Markup Language (XML) files based on the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization's (MISMO) ePackage SMARTDoc standard. | ||

Approval eBinder (Upload): Approved to send electronic case binders (closing packages) when requested by a HOC (after being approved for the LI program). Electronic copies of closing package documentation are uploaded via the FHA Connection in Portable Document Format (PDF). Note: Not applicable for LI Reverse. | ||
