Severe Case Warning
 
  LI lenders are required to submit a case binder when a severe case warning is issued for the case. A severe case warning includes any of the following conditions:  
 
bullet
 Borrower(s) failed Social Security Number validation  
 
bullet
 A record was found in CAIVRS for the borrower(s) (i.e., Credit Alert Sanction)  
 
bullet
 Case failed the pre-endorsement delinquency check  
 
bullet
 An LI deficiency exists  
  If submission of a case binder is required, a message is displayed on the Insurance Application Update page.

  When a case binder is requested, an e-mail notification is sent to the lenders using the contact information provided by the lender's Application Coordinator using Lender Insurance Contact. (Lender Insurance Contact can be accessed by the Application Coordinator via the Lender Functions menu.)
