Property Is Resold within 91-180 Days
| ||
If the property is resold within 91-180 days of acquisition and meets or exceeds the resale price percentage threshold, the Appraisal Logging Results page displays the following message: PROPERTY MAY BE SUBJECT TO GREATER THAN 90-DAY FLIPPING RULE. A second appraisal is not required if the case qualifies for a property flipping exemption (see WINK: Appraisal Logging, What is HUD Doing about Property Flipping?). Note: If a second appraisal is required, it must be conducted by a different appraiser. When the second appraisal is recorded in Appraisal Logging, the system uses an algorithm to select the appraisal that will be used for case processing.
