Borrower Validation for New Case
 

 

Although a case number is assigned, you should check Holds Tracking within the next two business days to verify there were no problems with the overnight borrower validation.

 
 
Cases that successfully pass borrower validation and have no other problems causing the case to be held do not appear in Holds Tracking. Use Case Query or Case Number Assignment to further verify the status of a case not listed in Holds Tracking.

If the new case did not pass overnight borrower validation, the Status in Holds Tracking will indicate Failed Borrower Validation; Case Number Asgnd - Yes means that an FHA case number is assigned.

 
   

Select the case to link to the Case Number Assignment Results page. Note the error(s) in the Borrower Information section.

To resubmit for validation, use Borrower/Address Change to make necessary changes. You should check Holds Tracking again within the next two business days to verify there were no additional problems.

If borrower information is correct based on your records, case processing can continue without validation but the case cannot be endorsed. Submit supporting documentation with the case binder that verifies the borrower identification (contact the FHA Resource Center at 800-CALLFHA ( 800-225-5342) for assistance). The case cannot be endorsed for FHA insurance without Homeownership Center (HOC) acknowledgment of the warning.
