Although a case number is assigned, you should check
Holds Tracking within the next two business
days to verify there were no problems with the overnight borrower validation.
Cases that successfully
pass borrower validation and have no other problems causing the case to
be held do not appear in Holds Tracking.
Use Case Query or Case
Number Assignment to further verify the status of a case not listed
in Holds Tracking.
If the new case did not pass overnight borrower validation, the Status in Holds
Tracking will indicate Failed Borrower
Validation; Case Number Asgnd-Yes
means that an FHA case number is assigned.
Select the case to link to the Case
Number Assignment Results page. Note the error(s) in the
Borrower Information section.
To resubmit for validation,
use Borrower/Address Change to make
necessary changes. You should check Holds
Tracking again within the next two business days to verify
there were no additional problems.

If borrower information
is correct based on your records, case processing can continue without
validation but the case cannot be endorsed. Submit supporting documentation
with the case binder that verifies the borrower identification (contact
the FHA Resource Center at 800-CALLFHA
( 800-225-5342) for assistance). The case cannot be endorsed
for FHA insurance without Homeownership Center (HOC) acknowledgment
of the warning.
