Property is a Resale or Refinance
  
 

When a case number request for a refinance or resale property is submitted as a purchase, information on the Case Number Assignment page must be corrected before processing can continue:

 
 

Ensure the correct Case Type (purchase or refinance type) is selected from the drop-down box.

  
 
If the case is a Purchase and was previously sold as a Real Estate Owned (REO) case, the correct If Purchase indicator must be selected.  
 
If the case is a Refinance, the correct All Refinances type must be selected.  
 
The prior FHA or REO case number must be correctly entered.
