HUD's Good Neighbor Next Door (GNND) program is offered to law enforcement officers, teachers, firefighters, and emergency medical technicians. They can get a 50 percent discount off of the HUD-appraised value of a home located in a designated Revitalization Area. However, they must live in the home for 36 months as their sole residence.
