Origination Reports - Business Background

The reports listed below are requested by lenders using Origination Reports Request. The next business day, reports may be retrieved using Origination Reports Retrieval.

Mortgagee Pipeline Report: Lists the status of cases being processed including cases with case number assignments, completed appraisals, conditional commitments issued, firm commitments issued, and closing packages recorded.
MIP Premium on Non-Endorsed Cases Report: Lists cases that have not been endorsed but went to closing and for which the upfront mortgage insurance premium (MIP) has been paid.
MIP Not Paid Report: Lists cases for which upfront mortgage insurance premium (MIP) has not been paid.

Mortgagee Endorsement Status Report: Lists cases that went to closing within the reporting period and were endorsed for FHA insurance, rejected for FHA insurance, or are awaiting an insurance decision (i.e, closing package has not been received by HUD and logged in its system).

Reporting Period

A report can be requested for any period of time up to 90 days from beginning date to ending date. Only the most current 13 months of information is available.

Originators Included in Report

The report can include:

All originating lenders (branch offices) related to the same lending institution (home office), or
Only specific originating lenders related to the same lending institution.

The first five characters of the ten-character FHA ID of each originating lender must be the same in order to be included in the report.

Note: Authorized HUD users may request a report for any combination of originating lenders.

Viewing and Printing an Origination Report

A retrieved origination report can be viewed and printed using one of the following options:

The records of just a specific originating lender can be viewed and printed using your Internet browser.
The entire report containing the records of all selected originating lenders can be viewed and printed using your Portable Document Format (PDF) reader.
