Zip Codes - Business Background
The Zip Codes page is used to request a list of ZIP codes for a specified area. A Zone Improvement Plan (ZIP) code is a five-digit code identifying a specific geographic postal delivery area.  A ZIP+4 code consists of the original 5-digit ZIP Code plus a 4-digit add-on code. The 4-digit add-on number identifies a geographic segment within the 5-digit delivery area, such as a city block, office building, individual high-volume receiver of mail, or any other unit that would aid efficient mail sorting and delivery. The Zip Code List page provides view-only information including Zip (+4) Code , City, State, County Code, County Name, corresponding Field Office Name and Field Office Type.

Use the Zip Codes page to request a listing of ZIP codes in a specific Field Office, State, City, or County. The Zip Codes page can also be used to enter a known ZIP code and produce a list of corresponding jurisdictional and lender option field offices.
Note: New cases can no longer be assigned by Lender Option field offices
.

Contact your HUD Homeownership Center if there is a problem with a ZIP code due to a new city name or rezoning.

Zip Codes can be accessed through the following sequence of FHA Connection links: Single Family FHA, Single Family Origination, FHA Approval Lists, and Zip Codes.
