  HECM Insurance Application - Accepted or Rejected?  
  Determining Insurance Application Status  
 

Upon successful submission, the Homeownership Center (HOC) reviews the case binder and HECM Insurance Application. If the insurance application is:

Accepted (Approved): Case is endorsed by HUD and the Endorsement Information section of the HECM Insurance Application page is updated with endorsement indicator and date. Mortgage Insurance Certificate (MIC) information is available online via the FHA Connection. (See Retrieving Mortgage Insurance Certificate (MIC) Information.)

Rejected (Not Approved): Case is not endorsed and Notice of Return (NOR) is issued. (See Resolving a Notice of Return (NOR).)
     
Use Case Query to check a single case's status. Use MIC/NOR List to check the status of multiple cases.
