Field Descriptions


The field descriptions for the Escrow Closeout Report are provided below in the order they appear under their sections: Section 1 - Escrow Closeouts Overdue (or Cases Overdue), Section 2 - Escrow Closeouts Due Upcoming Month (or Cases Due), Section 3 - Escrow Closeouts in the Reporting Period (or Cases Completed) and Summary. Note: The Summary is not included in the Excel version of the report.

Section 1- Escrow Closeouts Overdue
(or Cases Overdue)

Field Description
Lender Name/AddressTen-character FHA ID, name, and address of the originating lender.
Case Number Unique 10-digit identifier assigned to the mortgage by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA).
Escrow Type Type of escrow that should have been closed out.
Borrower Name/Address Last name, first name, and middle initial of the borrower. House number, street name, city, state, and zip code of the property (including unit number, if applicable).
Escrow Due DateMonth and year (mm/yy) repairs or improvements to the property were to be completed.
Escrow Amount Dollar amount held in escrow to complete the repairs or improvements.
Endorsement Date Date the mortgage (case) was approved for FHA insurance (endorsed).

Section 2 - Escrow Closeouts Due Upcoming Month
(or Cases Due)

Field Description
Lender Name/AddressTen-character FHA ID, name, and address of the originating lender.
Case Number Unique 10-digit identifier assigned to the mortgage by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA).
Escrow Type Type of escrow that is due for closeout in the next reporting period.
Borrower Name/Address Last name, first name, and middle initial of the borrower. House number, street name, city, state, and zip code of the property (including unit number, if applicable).
Escrow Due DateMonth and year (mm/yy) repairs or improvements to the property were to be completed.
Escrow Amount Dollar amount held in escrow to complete the repairs or improvements.

Section 3- Escrow Closeouts in the Reporting Period
(or Cases Completed)

Field Description

Escrow Type Type of escrow that was closed out.
Borrower Name/Address Last name, first name, and middle initial of the borrower. House number, street name, city, state, and zip code of the property (including unit number, if applicable).
Endorse Date Date the mortgage (case) was approved for FHA insurance (endorsed).
Escrow Due DateMonth and year (mm/yy) repairs or improvements to the property were to be completed.
Closeout Date Month and year (mm/yy) the close out of the escrow was certified and recorded in HUD's system via Escrow Closeout.
Escrow Amount Dollar amount held in escrow to complete the repairs or improvements.
Amount Applied to PrinDollar amount of the escrow applied to the loan principal.

Summary

Field Description
Total Cases Overdue Count of the number of cases with escrows that should have been closed out; total for the Cases Overdue section of the report.
Total Cases DueCount of the number of cases with escrows due to be closed out in the next reporting period; total for the Cases Due section of the report.
Total Cases CompletedCount of the number of cases for which the escrow was closed out; total for the Cases Completed section of the report.
Total Cases on ReportSum of Total Cases Overdue, Total Cases Due, and Total Cases Completed.
