Holds Tracking - Business Background


In the following circumstances, a Case Number Assignment request is placed on hold for further processing:

When submitting a request for a Case Number Assignment you may be notified that the case is being held for review or verification before an FHA case number is assigned. Keep checking Holds Tracking to determine the status of the case. Depending on the reason the case is being held, it can take 24 hours to several days to complete processing.

The case can have one of these holding statuses:

Cases with a holding status of Completed, Borrower Validation Completed, or Failed Borrower Validation are removed from the Holds Tracking List as follows.

If the case is removed from the Holds Tracking List before you are able to determine the case number assigned, use Case Query on the Case Processing menu.
