The field descriptions for the Holds Tracking page are listed below in the order they appear on the page.

Field

Description

Lender ID

FHA's unique 10-digit identifier for the lender with cases being held by HUD's Homeownership Center (HOC).

By Status of Case

Holding status of lender's case(s).

All: All of lender's cases that were placed on hold.

Completed: All cases for which Holds Tracking processing is completed.

Case Number Assigned: All cases placed on hold for which a case number was assigned.

Awaiting HOC Processing: Only cases with duplicate address issues (a) that have not been reviewed by the HOC or (b) were reviewed by the HOC, issued an FHA case number, and are pending borrower validation against Federal government records.

Failed Borrower Validation: Only cases for which one or more borrowers failed validation against Federal government records. Note: This may also include HOPE for Homeowners cases with borrowers that failed the property/borrower validation.

By Street Name

Name of the street on which the property is located, such as Elm or 42.

By Last Name

Last name of the borrower, or last name and first name of the borrower, such as Smith, John.
