A planned unit development (PUD) is a residential development having a combination of diverse land uses, e.g., single-family homes, rental, condominium, cooperative, and/or town house properties, in a contained development or subdivision. The properties that are a part of a PUD are not for sale by the FHA. However, in order to be eligible for insurance endorsement by the FHA, a PUD must be approved by HUD. For more information concerning PUDs, refer to HUD Handbook 4000.1.
Use the Planned Unit Developments (PUDs) page to request a list of PUDs for a specified geographic area, status, name, and/or PUD ID. You can choose to display the PUDs listing by Legal Name, Alias, PUD ID, City, Zip Code, or State. The name of the PUD in the Planned Unit Developments (PUDs) List is a link to additional information for that specific PUD. This is where you can obtain the PUD ID and Phase information needed to complete a Case Number Assignment for a PUD property. This information, as well as other details, e.g., Field Office, Status, Special Conditions, can be obtained from the Planned Unit Developments (PUDs) Detail page.
You can access PUDs through the following sequence of FHA Connection links: Single Family FHA, Single Family Origination, FHA Approval Lists, and Planned Unit Developments (PUDs).
