HMDA Transaction Edit Report - Processing
The HMDA Transaction Edit Report is an error notification report generated for financial institutions that report HMDA information via the FHA Connection. Twenty-four hours after a HMDA file is uploaded, the Transaction Edit Report is accessible for viewing and printing. (Transaction Edit Reports can be downloaded and saved to your personal computer then formatted using a word processing application such as Microsoft Word.) The Transaction Edit Report displays error codes next to the reported Loan Application Records (LARs) that encountered errors during processing. LARs identified as having errors must be corrected and resubmitted.

Selecting a Transaction Edit Report

Transaction Edit Reports generated for HMDA files submitted under your FHA Connection user ID are listed on the HMDA Transaction Edit Report page. The report identifiers, i.e., names, are divided into three sections:

H00999.8227700005-09042003081502 The first six digits identify your FHA Connection user ID. (You are only authorized to view reports generated for your ID.)

H00999.8227700005-09042003081502 The middle ten digits identify the lending institution for which the report was generated.

H00999.8227700005-09042003081502 The last fourteen digits identify the date (first eight characters) and time (last six characters) the report was generated.
