  Endorsements by Lender Insurance (LI) Lenders
 
  Submitting Case Binders

Case binders are not submitted to the HOC for cases processed under the LI program except under the following circumstances:
 
bullet
A severe case warning is issued for the case.
 
bullet
The case is selected for post-endorsement technical review (PETR) or appraiser review.
   
bullet LI lenders are notified that a case binder is required when the Insurance Application is processed.
   
bullet Use Binder Selection to display a list of requested case binders that must be submitted to the appropriate HOC within ten business days of the request date.
   
bullet Case binders can be submitted in paper format or electronically.
   
bullet If an LI lender chooses to send case binders electronically (eCB):
 
bullet
Refer to the requirements set forth by HUD.
  bullet Unacceptable eCBs must be corrected and resubmitted.
   
bullet

When requested by HUD, LI lenders can use Electronic Binder Additions Upload to submit additional or revised documentation and add it to the electronic case binder. Lenders can only add documentation after a request has been made by HUD.
